DAY 1 – cleanse day

Well, the 2 pre-cleanse days are over.  Today is day 1 of the official 9 day cleanse. It is the first cleanse day.

It’s 11:30 and so far I’ve had 1 cleanse drink, 2 snacks, 4 almonds and just finished my 2 isa delights. In about 30 minutes i will have my 2nd cleanse drink.   I am feeling a bit tired, but that could be because of the weather too – it’s gloomy and raining.

Usually by now, I have 3 bottles of water – but I’ve only had 1/2 a bottle. I will up the water this afternoon.

I’m amazed at how much the isadelights fill you up. I had 1 at 11:00 and another at 11:15am and I am actually quite full now.  They are tasty and I can’t wait to have my next 2 at 4pm… LOL ;)

11 day GROUP CLEANSE!

Hi Everyone! Today is DAY 1 of our 11 DAY cleanse ( 2 prep days and 9 program days).

To start this, I’d like to say that there are 7 people (including myself) who are participating in this group cleanse. My mother, sister and I have been doing “group day cleanses” for the last two months and we had so much fun and had so much support while cleansing.  I thought I’d share this with others and open it up to much more than just day cleanses – but a group of individuals who want to do a 9 day cleanse!

I thought I would share some experiences I had the first time I did a 9 day program – which was in November 2007. 

I remember the first 3 days were rough – I was tired, cranky, bitter – just not 100%.  By day 4 – I felt rejuvenated, connected, healthy, light – just amazing. So for those of you who may experience a bit of a challenge in the beginning – it should pass – just be patient and continue to follow the program!

During the 9 day + 2 day prep I lost 10 pounds and also lost an inch everywhere on my body. For people who are concerned with weight loss – I suggest taking the time to measure themselves around their arms, hips, thighs, breast etc. You may notice more inches lost than pounds lost. (which is essentially what most of us want anyway).

For those of you who are not concerned about weight loss – you may notice your body still changing – getting more fit, more tight, more energy, happier , etc.

There are two things I feel are extremely important on this program – that I feel help me during my cleanses.

1) snacks – make sure you are eating every 3 hours – this could be the snacks that are provided with the program, a hard boiled egg, vegetables, unsalted nuts, lean turkey/chicken meat etc

2) water – drink WATER, WATER, WATER. The rule of thumb is half your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 150 lbs then you should drink AT LEAST 75 ounces of water. 

 In reality – weight loss and being healthy should be a long term goal. The 9 day is used to jump-start , or even give your weight loss or healthiness a BOOST !
